Creamy Homemade Hummus

  • 1 15-ounce can chick peas, drained
  • 1 to 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 4 Tablespoons tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  1. Put all ingredients into a food processor or blender and process until very smooth. To get it really creamy, you may need to run it for several minutes.
  2. Drizzle with a little olive oil and serve with pita bread or fresh vegetables.
